Celebrate the Music of John Kander!

In 2015, when he was only 88 (!), John helped Harbinger Records’ Bill Rudman and Ken Bloom create “Hidden Treasures,” the only 2-CD retrospective of his work, covering the years 1950-2015. Featuring rare demos and cut songs by Kander & Ebb—and performances by the songwriters plus Karen Ziemba, Anita Gillette, Brent Barrett and many more—the 50 songs hail from 18 musicals, with a 64-page booklet written by Jesse Green. The set is a testament to John’s credo: “I’d like to be remembered as an emotion-stirrer, whether the emotions are happy or tender or sad. But emotions that have impact.” 

Broadway composer John Kander (“Cabaret,” “Chicago,” the current “New York, New York”) won a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 Tony Awards.
