Finding the "You" In It All
The Song Is You! celebrates the words, music and artists that give the art form its passion and importance. These concerts showcase the finest theater and film songs while exploring the cultural and historical impact of musical theater as an American art form. Often referred to as a “docu–concert” or live documentary, each TMTP concert combines live performances with commentary and dozens of rare still images and video clips.
It's a glorious artform in which characters open up to express their thoughts and feelings with dialogue and more, these elements can all create a powerful story. And in the end, the song is you! It’s about the connections you discover between musical theater and your own lives.
And you know what? The Musical Theater Project proudly explores America’s democracy, delving into the rich diversity of the American experience, the enduring relevance of musical theater in contemporary society and the legacies of pivotal artists, while cultivating profound connections to its iconic characters, themes and music.

An encore presentation of Legendary Black Singers– Great Broadway Songs: hosted by Leon Bibb. It’s a salute to singers such as Ella, Nat, Lena, Nancy Wilson, Bobby Short, and many more immortals whose recordings of songs from stage and screen are definitive.

An encore presentation of Legendary Black Singers– Great Broadway Songs: hosted by Dee Perry. It’s a salute to singers such as Ella, Nat, Lena, Nancy Wilson, Bobby Short, and many more immortals whose recordings of songs from stage and screen are definitive.
Walk On: The Power of Carousel
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s 1945 classic is an inspiring tale of redemption, as ne’er-do-well Billy Bigelow learns from Julie Jordan the meaning of love. This docu-concert will include scenes from the musical and all the songs including “If I Loved You,” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” And it will feature Cleveland Chamber Choir, which made such a strong impression in last season’s Brigadoon.

Hidden Treasures
In this tantalizing 2-CD set, the late, great lyricist Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Fiorello! shares with musical theater fans 53 of his Hidden Treasures: rarely heard songs from 17 musicals, with many songs performed by Harnick himself and his late composer-partner Jerry Bock. Three cuts feature Harnick as recorded for this special collection, and other archival recordings star three-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, Brian d'Arcy James, Charlotte Rae and more.
This magnificent set is testimony to Sheldon's extraordinary gifts, and to his place in the pantheon of Broadway musical creators.

Gretchen Cryer & Nancy Ford perform their cabaret standard "Old Friends" from I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It On the Road in March 2018. Hosted by Bill Rudman, this was the first concert completely dedicated to their work as great American songwriters.
